Born in Los Angeles, Tim Beiser lived in New York City for many years, where he wrote plays and science-fiction short stories while working as an emergency medical technician for the Fire Department of New York. Now living in Toronto, he is an award-winning journalist who has written for many of Canada's leading publications. His first two books for children, Bradley McGogg, the Very Fine Frog and Miss Mousie's Blind Date, were published to much critical acclaim. Tim Beiser divides his time between Toronto, Canada, and Grignan, France. The author lives in Toronto, Canada & Grignan, France.
Bill Slavin has illustrated more than seventy books for children, including The Big Book of Canada by Christopher Moore; It's a Snap! George Eastman's First Photograph and All Aboard! Elijah McCoy's Steam Engine by Monica Kulling, the first two books in Tundra's Great Idea Series; and the upcoming Pandemic Survival: It's Why You're Alive by Ann Love & Jane Drake. He has won the Amelia-Frances Howard Gibbon Illustrator's Award, the Blue Spruce Children's Choice Award, and the Zena Sutherland Award for Children's Literature, among many others.
