Dubai has witnessed rapid rises both in urbanism and economical growth that led to the increase of the population count dramatically in such a short period of time. This book will discuss a brief description of the geographical background of Dubai; study the growth of the population in the emirate between the years 2011-1881; describe the components affecting the growth; and illustrating each role related to the natural growth and the foreign workforce in increasing the population count also showing some effects caused by the fast growth of the population. This book will highlight the importance of urban sprawl and using geographical information system to integrate gathered data to produce urban sprawl maps.
