Lexi the coonhound lives in the dog pound, but every night she dreams of leaving the pound and finding a new forever home. One day, Zoey and her mom go to the pound to look at dogs up for adoption. When Zoey sees Lexi's sad face, she wants to adopt her right away. Although Lexi is excited to leave the pound, she is also a little sad about leaving her furry friends who have kept her company all this time. On her first night outside the pound, Lexi is restless and scared. Zoey tried to help ease Lexi's first night jitters. Zoey finally realizes what her new best friend needs to feel safe and comfortable to sleep soundly in her new forever home.
