David and Myra Vandy have trained, worked, and lived with over 300 youth from challenging backgrounds in 4 regions of the United States, spanning nearly three decades. They authored SMOOTH TRANSITIONS 4 TEENS to help youth gain essential skills, to recognize their power to create the life they really want to have. They have created and improved transitioning programs. The Vandys have provided effective training in the use of Smooth Transitions 4 Teens for dozens of school districts, transitioning programs, group homes, crisis shelters, parent groups, youth groups and individuals. Focus on the development of a circle of support for youth along with identifying and utilizing the assets of a local community are key for success.
