Born into a close-knit family in the idyllic town of Bluffton, Indiana, Jill Baughan has grappled with a series of painful experiences, ranging from her father's early death to her own infertility. Jill Baughan is an English instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University and the author of A Hope Deferred: A Couple's Guide to Coping with Infertility. Jill serves on the worship ministry team at Cool Spring Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. She believes God has gifted her as a goof-off, and she plans to practice this gift until she dies. She has been married to Ben for 29 years, and they have a daughter, Jamie, who came after the couple struggled many years with infertility.
