"Irma Kurti, Italian-Albanian poet and writer, with her beautiful and sincere verses that go straight to the reader's heart, answers the question of whether it is possible to write and poetize in a language other than one's mother tongue. This is a sensitive question, as also it encompasses the poetic attempt itself, but it is a successful endeavor in Kurti's case. Kurti's poetry travels poetically on two main tracks: on the first, it displays the theme of loneliness and, consequently, human alienation as seen through the poetic kaleidoscope of the poet's own lonely soul. The second poetic track of the collection, the most sensitive and the most touching one with which Kurti's entire opus is permeated, is the strand of a soul dripping with grief describing her great personal sadness and loss. In fact, the entire sylloge is dedicated to the memory of her parents, now her guardian angels, who departed for another dimension from which they yet inspire deep and unique tones and feelings; they are always watching over the poet's every lyrical step.
