The podcast series "Public Health Uncoded" is designed to stimulate discussion on important public health issues. Discussions are undertaken with public health experts who, through their extensive experience and special expertise, provide deep insights into the problems and suggest creative ways in which they can be addressed.
In this book, podcast discussions are provided on a wide range of topics included within the themes sexual and reproductive health and rights, child health, and the health impacts of climate change.
The rise of new communication channels along with traditional media has created a ground for misinformation. To counter this, the scientific community must embrace new platforms such as podcasts to engage the public by presenting research results in ways in which they can be understood.
The audience for this book includes research scientists, public health professionals, climate scientists, health advocates, policy planners, service providers, and users of services, among others.
The plan is to continue these podcasts to foster a culture of assessing and creativity addressing public health problems.
