A gradual shift can be seen in how racism is seen, interpreted and opposed. Instead of seeing it as a small part of a larger problem, it's increasingly viewed as a large, underlying bias that's part of a racialised society designed by, for and about white people. It's so deeply embedded that trying to remove it has proved challenging.
