Following the unexplained failure of the first human exo-planet colony, Dhank Trust calls upon the Peacekeepers to lead humanity's second endeavor to colonize among the stars. With its location on a different planet, al-Sufi C, the Bakht Colony appears to be the starting point for humanity's future. The only problem is that a reptilian race known as the Hlinan also inhabits the planet. Krysta Evreux, known as "Lone Wolf," must lead the Peacekeepers in defending the colonists against dangerous wildlife and the reptilian aliens who view the humans as their religious curse. Are more sinister enemies hiding in the colony's shadows, and can Krysta form an alliance with the Hlinan in time?
