On the left-hand side of the book is one from mummy's viewpoint about the child and another from the child's viewpoint about the relationship shared with mummy. The mummy's tale uses yellow to show the brightness and creative energy of maternal love. On the right-hand side of the book is a story told from daddy's viewpoint about the child and a final story from the child's viewpoint about the relationship shared with daddy. These stories are read from right to left. The book is bound together in one huge hug. A pull-out opens up on the final pages to reveal empty frames where children are able to create their own pictures to form a family gallery so that they are placed at the heart of the story. A true celebration of a child's earliest and often most formative relationships, 'I love mummy I love daddy' is a universal tale of love and attachment.
