Have you ever felt that your life has been ruled by something other than yourself? Well, it probably has. And there is a good chance that it was fear. I have spent much of my life chasing validation at at any and every cost. Whether it was fear of disappointing my family, the people around me, society, or even the man I married, there is no facet of my life that has not been permeated and plagued by fear. Now, as everyone around me has it all figured out, I have a unique opportunity to start over. I am in the process of learning who I truly am out of the confines of everyone's expectations, and writing my own narrative. I am breaking free of the definition of fear. Will I ever fully break free from it? (Spoiler alert: no.) But each moment in time this book holds will forever lie within me. One day, I will look back upon it and see the beauty in that.
