Imprisoned in Lanka and emaciated by grief, Sita Devi, who is the devoted wife of Shri Rama and one who is dear to behold, is discovered by the heroic Vanara, Hanuman. Acting as Rama's messenger, Hanuman recounts his incredible, solo journey across the vast, one hundred yojana ocean (eight hundred miles) into the city of Rakshasas.

He predicts that Rama, the highly valiant Purushottoma, will soon obtain her after killing Ravana and his friends and family. Through these reasons and marks, Sita attains unequaled happiness, shedding tears of joy.
