One summer I went on a kayak journey around Guernsey Reservoir in Wyoming. Absolutely beautiful! Not my first trip in a kayak, but the first time I noticed things bumping into my kayak: a floating branch when starting out; carp feeding in a weed bed; a hidden boulder near shore; and waves from early morning boats. It made me realize the importance of being aware of your surroundings while enjoying the adventure-and wear a lifejacket!
