A second article by Brooks defines the wiles of the devil and gives Christ's people sound biblical remedies. Lloyd-Jones, also in a second article, exposes and defines the nature of our spiritual enemies. Christ commands, through the letter to the Ephesians, that Christians put on the whole armor of God; John Calvin examines each piece for our benefit and victory in the battle. Thomas Manton then exalts the crucified and resurrected Christ and encourages all Christ's soldiers by explaining how Jesus crushed Satan's head! And Charles Spurgeon closes this issue calling all believers to strike a blow for Jesus and holiness.
