Sharon Smith became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1978 and graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1992 from Rio Grande College in Ohio. Her nursing career spans various fields, including Emergency Rooms and Oncology, with 15 years dedicated to hospice care, where she discovered her true calling. As she anticipates retirement, Sharon earned her certification as an End of Life Doula in 2024, offering compassionate support to those in need, regardless of their ability to pay. Now retired, she resides in Southern Ohio with her wife and three dogs, continuing her commitment to caregiving through her writing in The Caregivers Guide.
