Zusammenfassung

A delightful and inspiring collection of true stories about animals who changed lives through acts of peace and kindness, perfect for children aged 5+ and readers who love animal stories by Holly Webb and Michael Morpurgo.

From Aloka the dog who walked 2,300 miles across the USA to Smudge the cat who bravely stood up to bullies, these inspiring tales celebrate kindness, courage and connection through the lives of extraordinary cats and dogs.

Perfect for children aged 5 and up, this uplifting collection is ideal for reading aloud, independent reading, bedtime sharing or classroom use. Every short, true story stands alone, making it easy to dip in and out. With adorable black-and-white illustrations, each remarkable animal is brought to life for young readers.

Alongside every tale are simple, bite-sized takeaways inspired by its message of peace, helping children reflect on what they can learn from these extraordinary animals and how they can apply those lessons in their own lives.

This gorgeous collection celebrates peace, hope and kindness, sharing an uplifting message for young readers. The perfect gift and story collection to enjoy together again and again.

Kimberlie Hamilton (Author)
Kimberlie Hamilton is an author and screenwriter who used to live in sunny Los Angeles and now lives in misty Aberdeen with four feline writing assistants. She has written all sorts of things over the years but particularly loves writing entertaining non-fiction books for young people with curious minds. Kimberlie is the author of Scotland's Animal Superstars; Rebel Cats! and Rebel Dogs!; Generation Hope and Rebel Animals at Risk. Her books have been translated into 20 languages.

Alisa Coburn (Illustrator)
Alisa Coburn is an illustrator and designer. Her route into illustration has been a winding one, taking her through a quirky Sydney animation studio, a leading graphic design college, a hungry advertising agency and the hallowed halls of the BBC. These varied experiences taught her how to breathe life into almost anything, armed her with a bag of design tricks, sparked a love of expressive hand-drawn lettering, and instilled a belief that the best ideas are often deceptively simple. She is passionate about creating playful characters brimming with personality and discovering fresh ways to weave narrative and design together. Her work combines storytelling, humour and warmth to create engaging experiences for young audiences.
