Abdus Salam Sarkar is a Researcher at the Center for Quantum Science & Engineering, Department of Physics, Stevens Institute of Technology, USA, where he focuses on quantum science of 2D quantum materials, quantum optics, quantum entanglement physics, quantum oscillation, and quantum optoelectronic device applications. Previously, Dr. Sarkar worked on anisotropic 2D materials photonics, energy, and optoelectronics at Institute of Electronic Structure & Laser (IESL), Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH), Europe. He earned his B.Sc. in physics from the University of Calcutta, M.Sc. in physics from the University of Delhi, and Ph.D. in 2D Materials Optoelectronics from the School of Physical Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi. He is a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC), UK.

Emmanuel Stratakis is a Research Director and Director of the Institute of Electronic Structure & Laser (IESL) at the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH), Greece. He is also the Director of the Nanoscience Facility at FORTH, part of the NFFA-Europe EU Infrastructure, where he is a member of the General Assembly. Dr. Stratakis also serves as a national expert in the EU High-Level Group on Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology, and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing. An OPTICA Fellow and Ambassador of the European Innovation Council, he is also the Founder and CEO of Biomimetic. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Crete in 2001.
