The stories are set in sunny Southern Spain on the Mediterranean Coast, with a focus on scenery, food, and the diversity of the characters. Paula has published articles in the Huffington Post and trademark-related journals. Paula lives in Arlington, Virginia. She is currently President of the Chesapeake Chapter of Sisters in Crime (SINC).
