Paul was passionate about language, the planet and football. His poems, selected by his friends, are full of his lived experience and his voice speaks through them. Paul passed away in May 2025. He had always written, and been deeply interested in languages, but over the last 20 or so years of his life he reinvented himself as a poet. He took up poetry with a vengeance and has left us with quite a collection of unpublished work. He did not say what he wanted us to do with his poems, but we promised to take care of them.
