Laura Bower is an author and early childhood educator whose books include The Imposter, Emily Snook: The World's Smallest Cook, and Hail the Tail. She lives in New York with her family and their dog, Clover.

Elisa Chavarri is an illustrator and artist working from Alpena, Michigan, where she lives with her husband, daughter, and pets. Her books include Alpacas Here, Alpacas There by Carrie Tillotson and Hail the Tail by Laura Bower. Elisa attended Savannah College of Art and Design where she earned a degree in animation.
