Melanie Dobson is an award-winning author of nearly 30 novels whose work has been translated into 10 languages. A five-time Carol Award winner, two-time Christy Award finalist, and recipient of an Audie Award and Indiana State Library's Best Book Award, her fiction explores the histories and traditions of diverse religious communities, including the Quakers, Amish, Amana Society, Children of God, the Oneida Community, and her own ancestors, the Moravian people who migrated as missionaries to colonial America. With a background in public relations, journalism, and marketing, she holds a BA in Advertising from Liberty University and an MA in Communications from Regent University. An adjunct professor of creative writing and host of a monthly writers' group, she is also a member of the Authors Guild, American Christian Fiction Writers, and Cascade Christian Writers.
