Alan LeQuire is a sculptor, well-known for his public monuments and sensitive portraiture. LeQuire has completed a number of architectural, collaborative, and site-specific projects since he began accepting commissions in 1981. Most notable are his Athena Parthenos, the largest freestanding interior statue in the Western world, Musica, the largest bronze figure group in the United States, and his five Woman Suffrage monuments in Tennessee. LeQuire owns a gallery in Nashville that he opened in 2003 and has been teaching from his studio for more than thirty years.
