Dave Ogle is an Emmy Award-winning visual storyteller whose mission was to find the true emotion that's at the core of every story, emotions that make good stories great. After graduating from Iowa State University, he spent sixteen years as a TV news photojournalist covering every story imaginable; from chasing tornadoes and wading through floods, to covering the NFL and presidential elections, shooting interviews with George W. Bush and Hilary Clinton. His work earned him four Regional Emmy Awards. He then spent a decade as the owner of his own video production company, shooting and editing stories all over the world: from Asia and Europe to North and South America. In 2019, Dave survived a sudden cardiac arrest, an event that reshaped his entire life. Since then, he has strived to find ways to help others. He is using his creative energy in writing and still photography, using narrative to understand survival, connection, and what it means to be given a second chance.
