Dr. Jenny King is a social work educator, researcher, and nationally recognized expert in trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, and secondary trauma. She is an Associate Professor at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University, where she co-directs the Center on Trauma and Adversity. For more than a decade, Dr. King has trained thousands of healthcare workers, educators, therapists, and community leaders on the neurobiology of stress, burnout, and sustainable care. She is the creator of the Take a Break Micropractice card deck and workbook series, body-based tools used in classrooms, clinics, and community organizations nationwide. Her work has been featured in TIME, HuffPost, and Parents Magazine, and her social media content on nervous system regulation and helper burnout has reached audiences in the millions. Through her writing, teaching, and speaking, Dr. King helps helpers sustain themselves through ongoing crisis.
