Architect graduated from FAU-USP in 1978, he is a founding partner of the firm Brasil Arquitetura (1979), where he carried out projects in various areas, receiving awards in Brazil and abroad. He collaborated with Lina Bo Bardi on all her projects from 1977 to 1992. He collaborated with Oscar Niemeyer in 2002. He directed the Bardi Institute from 1992 to 2001 and the Monumenta Program for the recovery of historic cities, between 2003 and 2004. He taught as a visiting professor at Washington University in Saint Louis in 2006, and at Escola da Cidade (SP) for many years. He is a founding partner of Marcenaria Barauna, where he has been designing and producing furniture since 1986. He has published the books Rural Architecture in the Serra da Mantiqueira, Lina Bo Bardi and Arquitetura conversável.
